⚠️ 60 Seconds Needed — Submit Your Proxy for The Highlands

⚠️ This message is intended for Highlands homeowners. If you are a renter or do not own a home in the Highlands, please disregard.

⚠️ ACTION NEEDED ⚠️

Submit Your Proxy In About 60 Seconds

1️⃣ HELP US REACH QUORUM

Your proxy helps the Association reach the 30% quorum required to hold the Annual Meeting and conduct the first election of Directors in 13 years. Without enough proxies, the election and meeting cannot occur.

2️⃣ VOTE ON THE LITIGATION ITEM

You are also being asked whether to authorize the Association to pursue litigation against former property management company Paine-Anderson Properties, Inc. for damages to the Association exceeding the $100,000 legal threshold.

A copy of the $2.2 million demand letter sent to Paine-Anderson is available on the portal. It details the damages to the Association.

Claims of this type are typically submitted to Paine-Anderson’s insurance carrier for coverage.

If damages are recovered, those funds would be returned to the Association for the benefit of the community.

This year, submitting your proxy takes only about 60 seconds.

Even if you plan to attend the meeting, submitting a proxy ensures your property counts so the meeting can proceed.

After submitting your proxy, please encourage a neighbor to do the same.

Reaching quorum requires participation across the community, and neighbor-to-neighbor reminders can make the difference.

Why Your Proxy Matters

Without enough proxies or attendees:

• The Annual Meeting cannot conduct business
Board elections cannot occur
Community votes cannot take place

The Highlands has not had an election for 13 consecutive years!

Your proxy helps ensure the meeting can finally move forward.

Annual Meeting Second Notice Posted

The Second Notice for the Annual Meeting has been posted in the community portal and includes:

• Meeting details
• Agenda items
Updated meeting venue

A copy of this notice has also just been mailed to all homeowners.

If you prefer to submit a physical proxy, a paper proxy and postage-paid return envelope were included with the mailed notice.

However, the fastest and easiest way to submit your proxy is online right now:
